Pakistan FM Says Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan Was Altered From Original Draft.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that the US 20-point plan to end Israel’s war in Gaza differs significantly from the draft proposed by Arab and Muslim countries. “The 20 points that President Trump made public are not ours. Changes were made to our draft,” Dar told politicians Friday.

The White House released the plan Monday alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding Hamas accept it within days. The proposal includes a ceasefire, captive returns, Hamas disarmament, and new Gaza governance excluding the Palestinian group.

According to Axios, Netanyahu requested significant amendments during a six-hour meeting with Jared Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff. The revised version ties Israeli withdrawal to Hamas disarmament and allows Israel to maintain a buffer zone until “terror threats” are eliminated.

Eight Arab and Muslim nations, including Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, cautiously welcomed the announcement. However, Egyptian and Qatari officials said substantial discussions are needed regarding governance and security arrangements.

Hamas is reviewing the proposal, with spokesman Mohammad Nazzal saying they’re not operating “under the logic that time is a sword pointed at our neck.”
