Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan are reportedly reuniting for producer Mudassar Aziz’s next venture
The successful trio from the 2024 ensemble comedy Khel Khel Mein appears headed for another collaboration. Industry sources suggest that producer Mudassar Aziz has secured Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan for his upcoming project, tentatively titled Zamana Kya Kahega.
The new venture promises to deliver what insiders describe as a “high-concept situational comedy,” positioning itself as a unique entry in the genre. First-time director Amit Roy, known for his cinematography work on major films including Dunki, Animal, and Deva, will helm the project, marking his transition from behind the camera to the director’s chair.
Production Timeline and Locations
According to industry reports, filming is scheduled to commence in September 2025, with the production team planning a comprehensive start-to-finish shooting schedule. The project aims for a theatrical release sometime in 2026, giving the team ample time for post-production work.

The film will reportedly utilize locations across India and the United Kingdom, suggesting an international scope that could enhance the comedy’s appeal to diverse audiences.
Creative Approach
Sources close to the production reveal that Zamana Kya Kahega will follow an event-driven comedy structure, similar to Aziz’s earlier success Happy Bhaag Jayegi. The narrative approach involves escalating situations that build upon each other, creating layers of humor through increasingly complex circumstances.
The project’s foundation reportedly stems from discussions that took place during the filming of Khel Khel Mein, where Aziz presented the concept to the three lead actors. Their enthusiasm for the material secured their participation in this new venture.
Background: The Original Collaboration
The actors’ previous collaboration in Khel Khel Mein centered around three married couples attending a wedding celebration in Jaipur. The film’s central premise involved a revealing party game where participants placed their mobile phones on a table, agreeing to share any incoming calls or messages with the group. This setup exposed hidden secrets within each relationship.

In that film, Pannu and Virk portrayed a married couple, while Khan played a cricket coach whose character arc included a significant personal revelation that surprised both his friends and the audience. The ensemble cast also featured Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, Ishitta Arun, and Talat Aziz in supporting roles.
The success of their on-screen chemistry in Khel Khel Mein appears to have convinced Aziz that this particular trio deserves another opportunity to showcase their comedic talents in a fresh setting.
