One of Bollywood’s most talked-about conflicts has officially come to an end. Salman Khan recently addressed his decade-long rift with renowned playback singer Arijit Singh during a Weekend Ka Vaar segment on Bigg Boss 19, putting years of speculation to rest.
While speaking with comedian Ravi Gupta on the show, Salman openly discussed the misunderstanding that had kept the two apart and took responsibility for the discord. “Arijit aur main acche dost hai. Woh misunderstanding thi aur woh misunderstanding mere side se hui thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger 3 mein kiya usne, ab Galwan (Battle of Galwan) mein kar raha hai,” the superstar revealed, confirming that they’ve reconciled and are now on good terms.

The feud traces back to 2014, when Arijit was accepting an award at a ceremony hosted by Salman. Worn out from consecutive performances, the singer made a humorous comment in response to Salman’s lighthearted teasing, which reportedly didn’t sit well with the actor. Following this incident, reports emerged that Arijit’s tracks were being dropped from Salman’s films, most notably when his rendition of ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ for Sultan was replaced with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version.
The situation escalated in 2016 when Arijit posted a heartfelt apology to Salman on Facebook, requesting that his song remain in Sultan. The post gained widespread attention before being deleted, but Salman remained silent on the matter for years. Their professional paths seemed permanently diverged, keeping fans and media outlets buzzing with theories. The ice finally began to thaw with Tiger 3 in 2023, when Arijit lent his voice to Salman’s film once again. Now, with Salman’s announcement that Arijit will sing for his forthcoming film Battle of Galwan, it’s clear the two have put the past firmly behind them and are ready to create music together once more.
