India Bollywood  Actor Salman Khan Allegedly Designated Terrorist Following Controversial Riyadh Forum Remarks

Unverified claims circulate on social media as officials remain silent on purported listing under Anti-Terrorism Act

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has become embroiled in an international controversy following unconfirmed reports that Pakistan’s Balochistan government has designated him a terrorist under the country’s Anti-Terrorism Act.

The alleged designation stems from remarks Khan made at the Riyadh Forum, where he appeared to reference Pakistan and Balochistan as separate entities while discussing the popularity of Indian cinema in the Middle East.

The Disputed Remarks

During his appearance at the forum alongside fellow Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, Salman Khan stated: “Right now, if you make a Hindi film and release it in Saudi Arabia, it will be a superhit. If you make a Tamil, Telugu, or Malayali film, it will do hundreds of crores in business because so many people from other countries have come here. There are people from Balochistan, there are people from Afghanistan, there are people from Pakistan, everyone is working here.”

The comment quickly went viral on social media, with critics interpreting his separate mention of Balochistan and Pakistan as politically charged.

Unverified Terrorist Designation

Social media posts on platform X claim that Khan’s name has been added to Pakistan’s Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997. This designation is typically reserved for individuals suspected of links to extremist or banned organizations and carries significant legal consequences, including travel restrictions and government monitoring.

A document dated October 16, 2025, shared by social media user Nasir Azeem, identifies Khan as an “Azad Balochistan Facilitator.” However, no credible Pakistani media outlet or official government source has confirmed the document’s authenticity.

Official Silence

As of this report, neither Salman Khan nor his representatives have issued a public statement addressing the controversy. The Balochistan government has also not released any official confirmation regarding Khan’s alleged inclusion on the terrorist watchlist.

The situation remains fluid as stakeholders await official clarification from Pakistani authorities.
