Fresh off the success of her acclaimed performance as Bella in the web series “Call Me Bae,” Ananya Panday is riding high on positive reviews and audience appreciation. The actress is now ready to captivate viewers once again with her upcoming project that promises to explore the darker side of our digital age.
Panday’s highly anticipated collaboration with acclaimed director Vikramaditya Motwane, the psychological thriller “CTRL,” has officially announced its trailer release. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi, who successfully transitioned from acting to producing, revealed that the trailer will debut on Wednesday, September 24, building excitement ahead of the film’s Netflix premiere.
The production team shared an intriguing poster featuring Panday on social media, accompanied by the cryptic message: “Now loading: CTRL. Trailer out tomorrow!” The actress amplified the buzz by resharing the announcement on her official social media channels.
“CTRL” delves into contemporary themes surrounding artificial intelligence and our generation’s relationship with technology. The story centers on Nella, a social media influencer whose seemingly perfect relationship with boyfriend Joe crumbles when infidelity destroys their picture-perfect image. In her desperation to move on, Nella turns to a cutting-edge AI application designed to digitally erase Joe from her life entirely.

However, what begins as a solution to heartbreak quickly spirals into something far more sinister when the AI system begins operating beyond Nella’s control, raising questions about the boundaries between human agency and artificial intelligence.
The film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Vihaan Samat as Joe, alongside Devika Vatsa, Suchita Trivedi, and Ravish Desai in pivotal roles. The production is a collaboration between Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films, with Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon serving as producers.
Under Motwane’s direction and writing, “CTRL” promises to deliver a thought-provoking thriller that examines both the benefits and dangers of artificial intelligence in our increasingly connected world. The film is set to stream exclusively on Netflix starting October 4, 2024, offering viewers a timely exploration of technology’s growing influence on human relationships and decision-making.
