Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will cease its Lahore-Paris flight operations on September 17, consolidating all Paris services through Islamabad only.
The national carrier will operate its final Paris-to-Lahore flight on September 12, followed by the last outbound service from Lahore to Paris five days later. Meanwhile, the Islamabad-Paris route will continue without interruption.

PIA officials attribute the route suspension to preparations for upcoming UK flight operations, which necessitate aircraft refurbishment and temporarily reduce the available fleet size.
The Lahore-Paris service had been restored just three months ago, with PIA launching twice-weekly flights on June 18 following an earlier suspension.

The decision highlights ongoing operational challenges facing Pakistan’s flag carrier. Currently, seven of PIA’s twelve Boeing 777 aircraft remain out of service, forcing the airline to carefully allocate its remaining five wide-body jets across key international destinations including Saudi Arabia, Paris, and Toronto.
The route consolidation reflects PIA’s broader strategy to optimize limited aircraft resources while maintaining essential international connections through its primary hub in Islamabad.
