WASHINGTON — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
Rubio acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in combating terrorism and lauded its constructive role in fostering regional and global peace. He noted Pakistan’s consistent efforts toward stability, calling them vital to international security.

Dar expressed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening relations with Washington, highlighting progress made through ongoing US-Pakistan trade talks and presenting Pakistan as an attractive destination for American investment. He also underscored the Pakistani diaspora’s role in strengthening bilateral relations.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade and regional peace initiatives.
