Elon Musk apologized after a major Starlink outage left thousands without service on Thursday. Many users reported their connections as “restricted based on location,” while Starlink’s website also went down temporarily.
“Service will be restored shortly. Sorry for the outage,” Musk posted on X, promising that SpaceX would address the root cause to prevent future issues. Starlink confirmed the disruption, stating it was working on a fix and would provide updates.
According to DownDetector, outage reports spiked around 3:30 p.m. EDT, with users across the U.S. affected by the blackout.
