Authorities defended their handling of Air India crash victims after families reported a “DNA mix-up.” The Boeing 787, bound for London Gatwick, crashed near Ahmedabad Airport on June 12, killing 241 people, including 52 Britons. Relatives of Akeel Nanabawa, wife Hannaa Vorajee and daughter Sara Nanabawa, buried in India, criticised a “clear lack of transparency and accountability.” Aviation lawyer James Healy-Pratt said DNA anomalies revealed errors, including co-mingled remains. India’s Interior Ministry insisted victims were treated with “utmost professionalism and respect.”
